First, it seems there was a problem with the word verification stopping guests from leaving comments. It's been fixed, so comment away!
That icky, grimy doorway isn't so bad anymore! We still have to scrape off the paint that is all over the window and transom (not from us!) and either paint or replace that door, but things are looking a little better.

We ended up choosing Valspar's Lyndhurst Gallery Beige, one of their National Historic Trust colors. I had originally planned on using gray, but after walking by my paint chips for a day or so, I realized it was a bit cold for the entranceway.
Now all I can wonder is what will go on that big, empty wall?

I love Valspar's LGB, it is beautiful. A perfect balance of grey, beige and a hint of pink if you will. I was going to go for Valspar's Seagull Beach but it was waay too red. I plan on painting my living room/dining room in LGB and paint an accent wall in my living room with the next color up, which is Free Wheeling, also by Valspar. Can't wait!!! By the way, a nice big picasso picture would look stunning on that empty wall of yours. Good luck :))
