I have to head back to work tomorrow, which means the pace of home improvements is going to slow quite a bit. Having the summer off has been a great jump start, but projects are mostly going to be left to weekends from here on out.

It's crazy to think we've only been here for about two months - it feels like we've been working on this place forever! But when I look back on what we've done in that short time, I feel quite accomplished. So, here's a quick tour of what the house looked like when we first moved in, compared to what it looks like now.

Obviously, there's a few rooms missing, namely the kitchen, first floor bathroom and second bedroom. We're still completely clueless with what to do in those three rooms, so they may take some time. But we're going to keep working on little details and going back and forth over the kitchen until it's settled!

The house looks awesome! You should be an interior designer. :)

Hi, just found you at the DIY Show Off. What great architectural detail you have in your house. Love that about older homes.

Hi,

The house looks great. Saw your post on AT about the tufted Ikea Karlstad Sofa, I am thinking about purchasing it, but have read numerous negative reviews of the longgevity of the fabric particularly issues with pilling. Can you offer any insight on how it is holding up for you?

We've had the sofa for almost a year and haven't had any issues with pilling. We vacuum it pretty regularly with a cat and puppy and it's held up really, really well for us.
