We're done!
Here we are in before land:

And today :)
After looking at this picture a bit, we've decided to break out our tools again and carry the subway tile back between the stove and microwave. Just need the motivation!

UPDATE! We tore out some tile and continued it behind the stove.

I love the butcher block/white combination. And the blue walls are wonderful! We're at the very beginning of our reno, so I'm a little envious that you're finished. Perhaps in a month or so, I'll finally be able to consider finishes and decoration!

What a lovely transformation! Nice job!

Do you mind if I ask what type of butcher block sealant you used? We're badly in need of a better sealant for our new maple butcher block, I'd love to know what you used and if you're happy with it.

Thanks, Kristen! We used butcher block oil we found at Lowe's. I can't remember the name of it and we used the whole can, but it was the only one they had and we found it in the section with other sealants and varnishes. I've also heard good things about Salad Bowl Finish, which you can find on Amazon.

Might I ask what the color is on the wall? I love the pop with the white wood. Getting ready to do a complete overhaul on our place.
